Renault Sandero voted “Green Car of the Year”

Renault Sandero Flexfuel 1.0 16v was voted “Green Car of the Year” on November 9 at a ceremony organized in São Paulo by the magazine AutoEsporte, published by Globo. The prize was awarded to Alain Tissier, Vice President of Renault do Brasil. The model won for its biofuel-powered engine, water-soluble paint and inner door trim made out of recycled PET fiber. Manufactured at the Ayrton Senna plant in Curitiba, Brazil, the hatchback strengthens Renault's offering in the Mercosur markets.
