Renault Sandero launched in Colombia

Renault launches Sandero in Colombia on September 18. After Curitiba (Brazil) and Pitesti (Romania), the car is produced in the Sofasa plant (Medellin, Colombia), where Logan, Twingo, Clio II and Megane I are also assembled. 15,4 Millions euros have been invested in the plant for the production of Sandero. The car will be exported to Venezuela, Ecuador, Chili and Peru. In Colombia, the Renault brand is just behind GM, with a 14.1% market share (PC+LCV) at the end of August 2008. Since its launch in September 2005, 24.430 Logan have been sold in Colombia.
