Renault Russia and Logan at the heart of the Star Race

For the fourth consecutive year, Renault Russia is the main partner of the Star Race, ice races in which the brand outfits its racers with the Cup version of Logan.

The Star Race, a major event of Russian auto sports, has been organized by the magazine Za Roulem (pronounced “Zah Ruliem”) since 1978. The races are traditionally held on February 23, the Day of the Defenders of the Fatherland.

Vitaly Petrov, the Russian racer from the F1 Lotus Renault GP team, was present again this year, invited by Renault. He was accompanied by Romain Grosjean, 3 rd driver for the Lotus Renault GP team, who took the wheel of the Logan Cup on this occasion.

More than 30 teams were present, and at the end of a 2-hour race, the super final took place with Logan Cups. One of the high points of the 2011 Star Race was the race between Romain Grosjean, Firdaus Kabirov, double champion of the Dakar (in a truck) and the champion of the 2010 Logan Cup. It was quite a show.

During the event, Vitaly Petrov was awarded the title of “Best Driver of the Race” by Za Roulem.
